Sheila took one last glance into the mirror. Her makeup was flawless, her hair perfectly in place. She skimmed the lipstick over her lips one final time and headed out the door. It was time she and Alex stop this foolish playing around. He was starting to stray. No matter, she would put a stop to it.
---
Appearing in the halls of the ministry, Sheila sashayed down the hall towards the open double doors of the Auror wing. There he was! She frowned slightly at the sight of the other man with him. They were supposed to be alone!
"Oh!" Alex looked up from his close discussion with Briar, spotting the woman coming down the hall towards them. His face lit up as he spotted the dimunitive figure that followed her. "It looks like I won't be able to help you after all, Evans," he said in an undertone. He must have lost track of time if Elle had come to look for him instead of meeting him at the restaraunt for their dinner date. "Good luck," he continued in that same tone before returning to a normal voice to greet Sheila.
"Thanks for coming in, Ms," he said, shooting a smile over her shoulder to tell Elle he'd be right there. "Auror Evans will be conducting your interview," he nodded politely as he passed her to give Elle a quick kiss. "I'm sorry, am I late?" he asked, knowing he probably was.
