Bundled up against the cold in a rainbow scarf and hat, Nuri rubbed her leather gloved hands together, activating the warming charm. It was a balmy afternoon for late October, the sum having chased away the morning's clouds. She kicked off, shooting inyo the sky, letting the familiar feeling wash away all her troubles. Attacks on her family, an unnatural earthquake which had felled a terrible blow to her shop and all her well-loved creatures. Today they'd closed early and she had headed out to the town's quidditch pitch on foot. It was surprisingly abandoned on this sunny afternoon.
Nuriko stopped high, high, above the town, the air crisp and cold around her, the sun warm on her shoulders. She tipped her head back, letting the sun fall on her face. She sighed, feeling tension leave her.

There was nothing better than a cool clear sky and a broom to clear one's head. Okay maybe a warm lover could be better but love was complicated. There was nothing complicated about flying. Give Declan a broom and he had everything he would need in life. It had become a habit of his to go down to the local pitch before work. He was determined to make a name for himself on the field again. He'd been so bloody close before the flux. He'd been on the local team and had been invited to tryout for the reserve team of the tutshill tornados. He'd been scheduled to go after he returned from his honeymoon. But that was a different life ago. he could dwell on it forever over a pint or he could stop moping and do something about it. While Declan enjoyed a good pint he wasn't one to mope for long. He zoomed onto the pitch, speeding past the goal posts and onto the field. There was another flyer on the other pitch lazily enjoying the morning. Declan zipped past, the wake from his broom washing towards the still flyer.
"Morning!" He called out, his voice filled with glee. He did a summersult in the air and raced back towards Nuri. He'd seen the woman before. She came into the broomsticks sometimes but he was sure he likely knew her form before. She looked to be around his age and there was something familiar about the way she flew.
"Care for a bit of sport?" He asked as he neared her, flashing a grin.

Nuriko looked back down as a blurry form zipped by, calling out a greeting. She couldn't help but smirk playfully at the man, lifting an eyebrow in mockery? "Mornin', lad? Y'missed it, morning's come and gone hours ago." It might have been unseasonably warm down on the ground but up here the people looked like insects and the wind blew cold despite the attempts of the sun to bring warmth. She wrapped her scarf more securely and grinned again.
