The gothic marble hallways of Gringott’s Bank echoed with the ambient sound of the Wizarding economy; this was the financial capital of the Wizarding United Kingdom. Millions of galleons, sickles, and knuts made their way back and forth through these hallowed halls each and every day. And at the center, organizing this grand institution: the goblins.
Holland entered the pointed archway of the bank with his head held hight, a hint of a smile in his clean-shaven jowls. His icy-blue eyes scanned the raised podiums, searching for a familiar face. To his surprise a voice called out behind him.
“Klaus!” Holland spun around and down to meet the glassy dark eyes of his dear goblin friend, Ferrrick. “Thank goodness you’re here. You were running behind on your regular appointment, we were worried about you.”
The old man smiled warmly, stooping to shake Ferrick’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to see you again, Ferrick. I assume everything with my vault is going smoothly?”
“Yes sir, the changeover post-construction is going very well. The majority of your artifacts have already been moved over. The rest will be moved today.”
“Excellent. Have you had lunch, my friend?” Holland motioned with his head for the door. Ferrick smiled in agreement. The trio (as always, Mr. Taylor was with him) turned to exit when a sudden noise echoed through the arched hallways.
BOOM. The entire bank quieted, dozens of eyes turning towards whatever had caused the sound. Holland’s hand tightened on his cane, his bright blue eyes staring.
