August 25th
The broomsticks was a nice place to be on a Wednesday night. It wasn't too crowded but not a ghost town either. It had been easy to find a booth and with in moments the couple was served with drinks. They'd chatted about work and family as they waited for their food to arrive. It was a solid second date. Elle was having a marvelous time laughing and staring into Alex's eyes. She couldn't believe that she was sitting in a booth across from Alex Kameren, man of her dreams. They even held hands as they talked which earned a few sly glances from patrons. It was sickeningly cute but she hadn't cared. It was far too much fun to hold hands and make eyes at Alex.
They'd been talking over the remains of their meal when the owl arrived summoning Alex back to work. There was a lead on a manhaunt and he was needed back at the office. Elle reassured Alex that she was fine,t hat his work was important and that she's see him later. She was more than capable of using magical transportation by herself, even if it still scared her. Alex kissed Elle deeply, paid for the meal and was gone.
Elle stared after Alex, enjoying the sight of him walking away. He really had a nice arse. Music caught Elle's attention and she decided to stay as the grand Maestro took the small stage to play a few tunes. Elle wondered to the bar to order another glass of witchwine and listen to the music. She settled onto a bar stool near a stunning woman. Elle couldn't help but admire the older woman. She had a striking face, mature but very pretty with high cheek bones and large gray eyes. This was a woman who would age beautifully. She must have been 5'11 but with the wicked red heels she was wearing she was over 6 feet. Elle couldn't help but admire her long shiny blonde hair. It was sleek and straight and rippled like a waterfall down her back to her thin waist. Elle would have killed for such smooth hair as a teenager. Even with her wand she could never have such smooth hair for very long.
Elle realized she was staring rather rudely and she glanced back at the stage taking a sip of her wine.
