General Description-
Will doesn’t stand out in a crowd. He is as normal as normal gets. He is a bit shorter than most other guys, which lends itself to some uniqueness one could say, but other then that...he is rather plain and average. And he is okay with this. Let someone else be in the spotlight. His clothing is simple as well. Jeans and T-shirts are his normal attire. For work he'll wear a pair of slacks with a dress shirt and a vest. But once again -its not outwardly colored or fashioned. Let someone else get all the looks. He is okay with that.
Possessions- N/A
Personality:
Temperment/Mental Attributes-
William is perceived as a rather even keeled being. There isn’t much in life that gets him rattled. Or rather that he won’t let it rattle him rather. Things bother him but he doesn’t feel the need to opening talk about it. It's his problems after all. He is a rather adept at pushing the emotions deep within the recesses of his mind. He isn't the best at talking about things. Of course this comes to a head at times -- and when it does, he gets a bit temperamental and easily riled up about it. In general - he is a nice guy who will treat you right if you treat him right. He is a good friend -- one that will always listen to you if you need an ear. He can have an eye for an eye mentality though if you do him wrong and he can hold grudges for a while too. And he is especially grudge holding if you hurt those close to him -- his family and friends mean everything to him and woe be the one who hurts them. On the inside -- he isn't as even keeled as some would believe him to be. He thinks about things -- a lot. Especially things of the past. He lets those memories and perceived failures haunt him. He makes mistakes and he thinks about them and then tries hard not to make them again. He wants to be better then that. Always better then he has been. This can lead to him doing stupid things in the quest for 'being better' and he may not always think things through all the way when he's in one of those moods. But his heart is in the right place. Always is. His methods though--could use a bit of work though.
Animagus Personality Traits:
Intelligent: He is a good study. He is the type who will practice until he gets it right. To research things that he doesn't know about.
Gentle: He isn't out to hurt anyone. He will try and figure out a nonviolent mean to solve his problems first before all else.
Alert: He's not one you'll catch day dreaming often if at all. This stems a lot from being half blind and knowing that he has to pay attention so that he doesn't get caught by surprise.
Alliance- A good guy
Alignment- Neutral Good
Employment&Education:
-Adults-
Former House- Ravenclaw
Job- Unemployed
Employer- No one right now
OWLs/NEWTs- O’s - for all except divination which was only an A
Other:
Magical Skills-
He had just became an animagus - form is domesticated dog (Siberian Husky)
Animagus Physical Traits: Due to Will's hair color, his husky animagus form has mostly brown fur (refer to picture here: 1.bp.blogspot.com/-QIOGmksIEik/TjIQf4rxFoI/AAAAAAAAAnw/13d1FvSRbRE/s1600/DSC_0210.JPG) which is not the most common of husky fur colors. He also wears reading glasses enough to where there is a rectangular shape swath of brown fur around his eyes which are blue like most people think of when they think of huskies just not as striking as most huskies' blue eyes usually are and even in this form, his right eye just isn't as focused and clear as the other eye is (due to his blindness).
Patronus- Siberian Husky
Wand- 9 inches, cedar wood, unicorn hair core, mildly flexible (more so near the tip then the handle)
Goals/Aspirations-
To make a difference. Though he isn’t sure how or what exactly that entails yet. But he wants to help people and do something that will entail that.
Secretly he wants to someday publish one of those stories he writes -- but he’s too unsure about it to actually do it or admit to it
Other Information-
Good at playing a muggle guitar
He likes to write fictional tales of both the muggle variety and of the magical variety -- he hasn't published any (it's just for fun he says)
History-
Will was the first born of three boys to a witch and a muggle author. It wasn’t until he was around a year old before his parents were told about his blindness on one side (they had noticed that his right eye wouldn’t react to lights and movements the way the other eye would and that was what brought them to the doctors), but that mattered none to them. They didn’t treat him any differently than a normal parent would. They let him participate in whatever he wanted to with just the obligatory ‘be careful’ remarks that parents always tell their children. Will would never become a sports person though and you'd never be able to get him up on a broom (though not for lack of trying) -- the very thought of it scared him. He tended to be more of the writing sort and that was okay with his parents. They supported him no matter what.
He would become very close to his two younger brothers. Of course they had their differences and would argue, but they were close all the same. The family unit as a whole was really close. All three of the brothers were students at Hogwarts (Will was in Ravenclaw, Damien a Hufflepuff and Orion a Gryffindor) and they did really well for the most part. The only trouble they caused was due to how much they liked to prank each other. But as much as they messed with each other, there was no denying the family unit was a strong one. Nothing could break them apart Will had thought -- they would always be together and there for each other.
Oh how wrong he’d be.
He was the first to graduate from Hogwarts at the age of 17. He worked at his father’s bookstore while all the while trying to figure out what he was going to do with himself now. He wasn't totally sure but he was the type who always wanted to make a difference. He wanted to help people. And he was going to do what it took and learned what he had to learn in order to do it. And with a little research, he began to process of becoming an animagus which was not easy people (I mean really the whole bit with the leaf of a mandrake and the incantation reciting was crazy!). It was a hard year, but he got it! He finally got it! This was a surefire way of being helpful in some small sort of way.
But his celebration wasn’t to last. The demon wars came to past. A few of his cousins and his mother’s brother were killed...it hit Genevia hard. Especially since she was a nurse and seeing all of the injuries and effects first hand. And it only strengthened Will’s resolve to do something about it. He saw that his brother Damien has joined the Black Watch, but he was too scared to do so himself. Seeing some of the injured with his own eyes scared him. He wanted to help but he was scared of the enemy. Maybe it was self preservation due to his blindness, or maybe he was just a chicken about it. Or maybe it was something else. He had gone back and forth about it in his head a lot. In the end he decided that he would not join the black watch.
Instead he and Michelle (a fellow Ravenclaw that had become a very dear friend during their last three years at Hogwarts) worked relentlessly to research ways to help the healers. There had to be more spells that could help them help the injured. Some methods worked and others didn't. Hearing about the deaths always shook him. The whole war shook him -- the curfews, the demons, the whacked out magic -- it was enough to unnerve anyone and it was definitely unnerving him. Outside of his parents, his brothers and Michelle -- he didn't know who he could trust or what to do. It was all so confusing!
But soon enough, the war had been won. It was over. It really was...he almost couldn't believe it. It was then he realized that it in all the hub bub, he had forgot to register his animagus status (even if he had only transformed during practices --he knew better than to not register). On the way, he had gotten an owl about his brother Damien who had been seriously hurt. He was at St. Mungoes and he needed to be there as soon as possible. He should have gone there first....but he figured the registry thing would only take a few minutes. It was after all supposed to be a quick portkey trip to the ministry and then back. Of course what was supposed to be a half hour to an hour’s venture turned into a 17 year misadventure. And now he’s going to have to adjust and wrap his mind around what has happened.
