Birthdate/place: 21-12-2022
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Family: Halfblood
Jack Ryan Harkness II, 34. Dad
Matthew Regulus Black, 36. Father
Appearance:

Build/height- slight build/5’3”
General Description- Of average height for her age, Beth is of slight build, being not very athletic in nature. Her skin is pale and her face is heart-shaped with a small chin. She usually carries herself in a carefree, confident manner, knowing her place in the world and being comfortable there.
Her eyes are blue, and her brown hair reaches to her waist and is either worn down or braided. She loves experimenting with her clothes, and sometimes her outfits can be quite bizarre.
Possessions- Wand, silver necklace with an oval locket. In it is a wizard photo of both her parents. Acorn, a six year old burrowing owl.
Personality:
Temperment/Mental Attributes- Beth is one of the ‘cheery enough to make your teeth ache’ people. She never sees the negative in her life (though she loves her Father’s stories, she doesn't quite understands that some people are bad). She is naïve and sweet, and indulged by both parents, but not spoiled. She has a great belief in being the best you can be, and helping others. She doesn’t understand that often this interference is neither needed nor wanted.
She’s never known want, and has always been shown kindness, and it shows. Kicking Beth is like kicking a puppy, completely pointless because she’ll still want to become friends. Everyone needs a friend. Beth is that friend. She’s shy around strangers but perfectly capable of bossing her parents around. She knows what she wants (usually) and goes after it, confident in the way of those who’ve never taken a fall.
She loves her parents, and doesn’t see her family as any different from others. She has two parents who love her, she doesn’t understand how their gender affects things one way or another for some people. The only thing Beth would change about her family is the addition of one or more siblings.

History-
Her parents were married in 2023, but Beth’s story starts a year earlier, when she was given up for adoption by her birthmother, who was too young and ill-prepared to raise a baby. She lived in Harkness House for nearly two years, a cheerful, happy baby. Harkness House was a different kind of orphanage, one that cared for its members as part of a larger extended family, named after the founding members, both muggles: Ralph and Jean Harkness. Despite the Harknesses being muggles, their son was a wizard and this revelation led to the opening of the wizarding orphanage.
It was no surprise, therefore, that when Ryan and Matt Harkness-Black wanted a child, they turned to Harkness House. The cheerful two-year old girl soon became Elizabeth Ann Harkness-Black. Beth had cousins galore, and unlike others who had been adopted, she still visited Harkness House, as it was where her new grandparents lived. The Harkness clan was large, and she never lacked for company. Being a friendly child, she soon latched on to several of her cousins as friends, and her relationship with her parents couldn’t have been better if she’d been born to them.
She was an active child, but not too terribly interested in organized athletics. Instead she preferred books and writing. She was fascinated by her dad’s stories, and especially loved the stories he wrote just for her. When her father came home from work, she loved to hear stories from his day, and as she started to write, she tried to write them into stories of her own. Some of them were childish, some were astonishingly perceptive.
She loved to read, and she loved birds. One year, on her ninth birthday, she received a little burrowing owl she had been visiting on their trips to Diagon Alley, she had been disappointed when the little spotted owl had been sold a month before. She was delighted when her father had brought in the owl and her dad had brought in the cage. She immediately named the small owl Acorn.
The December she turned eleven, her Hogwarts letter came by owl post. The next year was interesting as Matt and Ryan tried to keep Beth from bouncing off the walls in excitement. She couldn’t wait for school and the fun of learning.
Her first year was fairly ordinary, she made friends and met people who see the world differently from her. Some kids can be mean about differences, and as she talks nearly constantly about her family, she’s had some people who are angry or mean about her parents and who they chose to be.
Beth doesn’t understand the attitude that things that are different should be shunned or mocked, but eventually she learned just to stay away from some of the meaner kids. Its her second year and there’s so much to learn! With the disappearance of the student in October, Beth’s spirit has been slightly dimmed. She’s frightened and stays close to her friends and an older cousin who looks out for her.
