Name: Emory Williams (formerly Melyonen)
Age: 29 (victim of the Flux)
Birthdate/place: 05/01/1992, Snowdonia, Wales.
Species: Human/Druid
Gender: Male
Family: Halfblood. Used to be part of a large family but they were all murdered when Emory was attending Hogwarts.
Appearance-
Hair: Curly black locks which are quite impossible to tame.
Eyes: Light Brown
Build/height: Tall and quite gangly. Very athletic
General Description: Emory is generally described as ruggedly handsome. He's a bit worn around the edges, with quite a large amount of scars acquired over the years and usually a small amount of stubble. Emory is not overly bothered with his appearance, knowing that his cheeky grin and easy demeanour usually makes up for his rough appearance.
Possessions:
Pet Raven that Emory picked up on his travels. Often called 'Bird'.
Druid staff that belonged to his father, which was the only salvageable item of any worth left in the wreck of their home.
>>> He currently has no idea where either of these things are or if Bird is even still alive due to having just 'returned'.
Personality-
Temperament/Mental Attributes:
Before the Flux, Emory was a man on a mission, travelling the world seeking adventure and laughing in the face of danger. In essence, he was a bit of an adrenaline junkie, which made him perfect for his job as he dared to go where few others will.
Since returning, he has mellowed, still a bit in shock over the whole experience. He’s tired, it feels like the Final battle was only days ago and those two years were exhausting. And he’s thoroughly disheartened. He had been so close to catching his family’s killer. Currently he has lost his taste for adventure and wants to sort his life out, return to his roots.
Nevertheless, he is still of a fierce personality, determined and loyal with an insatiable curiousity. He’s very outgoing and loves to meet new people and is a bit of a flirt. Though rare to anger, his rage burns as bright and fierce as a wildfire.

Other Information-
History:
Druids are a very secretive people. They hate small spaces and love to travel. But they also love company and frequently form large familial groups. As such, Emory was the fifth son of Marya and Glen Melyonen. Emory’s family was also comprised of three sisters (one older and two younger), two aunts, five uncles, a grandmother and six cousins. His childhood was nothing short of fun and days were spent frolicking in the sun, splashing around in streams, climbing trees, playing with his siblings and cousins and getting into trouble with his elders. The druidic lifestyle was very carefree and Emory enjoyed every second of it during his early childhood.
But in his third year of being alive, Voldemort returned and his family withdrew into partial hiding. During the first War, Voldemort had sought out the Druids, wanting to control their Elemental magic and use it for his own gain, but druids are good by nature, seeking to follow the natural order of life and they refused. His retaliation had been fierce and Emory's parents rightly feared more attacks.
The second war broke out in 1997, and the Melyonen clan helped the Order where possible but kept to the shadows to avoid bringing attention to themselves. Voldemort's defeat the following year was cause for much celebration and Emory was happy to return to the peace of his earlier years. He was quick to develop a love for plants and even impressed the Elders at how quickly his talents progressed, though his lack of ability with any other element perplexed them.
When he turned eleven, he received his letter to Hogwarts and it was time to pause his Druidic training and join his siblings. Though Druids possessed magic, it was largely focused on a symbiotic relationship with Nature and they cherished this bond more than anything. However, they appreciated that their rather ancient lineage granted them other talents and though it separated the family, celebrated the fact that another one of them was off to expand his knowledge.
With lots of hugging and kissing and crying (notably from the females in his family), Emory was off to Hogwarts, where he was promptly sorted into Gryffindor. He settled in well, becoming well known to both students and teachers for his numerous pranks and subsequent detentions. He had a large group of friends but he found that he missed his family and the constant adventure that came with travelling. Though his siblings attended Hogwarts, none were in his House and they all had their own friends They all made sure to return to their parents at every chance they got but Emory felt a distance he had not before. During one such visit, he ended up fighting with his elder brother Rowan. He was in the wrong, but he was stubborn and was angry that his family had sided against him. When the next chance to go home arose, he refused stating that he would rather stay at Hogwarts. Though saddened by this, his parents had been through enough teenage angst already to understand that Emory just needed a little time. That's when it happened. He was fifteen.
His parents, his siblings, his entire family had been killed. Their home in Wales had been destroyed. The killer or killers had gotten away. No one knew what had happened, but Emory had gone from a happy lucky kid with a huge family to an angry, tormented orphan. If only he had been there! Maybe things could have been different! The pranks stopped and Emory threw himself into his studies determined to become the best he could so that one day he could find whoever had ripped his life apart and kill them. His teachers became concerned seeing him throw himself into the idea of revenge and tried to convince him to choose a future profession to give him something other than revenge to work towards. His friends tried to be supportive and over the Summer of his sixth year, a small group of them went travelling around Britain.
It was exactly what Emory needed and it awoke that thirst for being outside that every Druid had. He was still hurting over the loss of his family, was still determined to seek vengeance, but he would enjoy the life he had been given by those he had loved more than anything. Back for his seventh and final year, with the great goal of becoming a Curse Breaker, the former Emory returned much to relief of those around him.
Graduation brought a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment and he said goodbye to his friends, knowing that he probably wouldn’t see them again and set off on the next step of his life. He changed his last name for protection and secrecy in case his family's murderer's decided they needed to finish the job. He joined Gringotts’ team of Curse Breakers and began the task of following his peers into dangerous situations. He enjoyed his job and quickly gained the reputation of being perhaps a bit too reckless but good at what he did. Emory just enjoyed being able to travel. He met new people, discovered new things and collected new objects. One of these ‘objects’ was Bird. The raven had followed him through the woods one day, cawing annoyingly at every possible moment until Emory had thrown a rock at its direction. It had then flown down and pecked Emory in return. It was the start of a beautiful friendship.
When he was 23, Magritte joined the unusual duo. She was a young French witch, just out of Beauxbatons and also eager to travel. It was an instant attraction and she followed Emory on his journeys for work, exploring the area as he did his job. They married just six months later in a small ceremony and for a year they were blissfully happy. But it was not to last. Magritte just couldn’t keep up or understand Emory’s intense need to constantly move and eventually she wanted to start thinking about settling down.
Emory refused to be tied down in one place and just days before his 26th birthday, they divorced. Though he missed Magritte’s company, Emory knew it was for the best. He stopped working for Gringotts and instead launched an independent career – Cursebreaker for hire. Now he was able to spend more time on personal projects, mainly searching for his old foe, his family’s murderer. He threw himself into this work and finally found a trace of the killer in Egypt. He spent the next three years travelling, becoming more and more frustrated as the trail grew colder.
Then whispers began back in England, of a new evil, one to rival the dark days of Voldemort. Emory didn’t hesitate. He’d lost the trace but if darkness was stirring back home, then the chances that his prey was also there were high. He joined the Black Watch and helped fight the evil. He had been too young to help defeat Voldemort, but he’d be damned if he didn’t help now.
It was a long two years, full of battles and bleak months and despair but they did it. They won. And as the fog lifted, there were whispers of a man who had a taste for hunting Druids. The day after the Final battle, Emory apparated, following the whispers to their source. He had him. After all these years, he was finally going to get his revenge….
…only to reappear 17 years later, the man long long gone.
