History- When Mary was born she was able to see, it wasn’t until later that she went blind. She was a happy baby and a happy child, she was five when she started showing signs of being able to do magic. At first her mother was unhappy as she had wanted a normal Muggle child but after a few months she began to like the idea of her daughter being a witch.
That following year she had gotten a hold of her father’s wand and had just been waving it around and after the last wave it flew from her hand and hit the wall and shot sparks at her face. She had screamed and both her mother and father came running to her side. Her father had taken her to St. Mungo’s, they had done their best but she would most likely lost her sight.
As she got older her vision started to get worse, she had tried glasses but nothing helped. Before her tenth birthday she had became totally blind. She had thought she wouldn’t get into Hogwarts but she got her letter and list. She was read everything to by her father, both of her parents went to Diagon Alley to buy her things. Her mother had held her hand and her father had to buy special books with brail. After shopping for her school supplies they went to a Muggle shop and bought her her white cane. After starting school she was worried that she wouldn’t fit in.
After a few months she made a few friends from different houses. She didn’t judge people on how they sound or talk or smell, only on how they act.
