Hair: A rich red laced with a few dark gray strands, that falls in a soft curls over her shoulders.
Eyes: Dark brown, nearly black.
Build/height- curvy, five four
General Description- The years have been kind to Arianna and she seems to have become even more beautiful with age. Her skin has lost the pink of her twenties and is a nice creamy color of health and vitality. A few laugh lines soften her dark eyes, adding character and a hint of wisdom to her visage. It is unfair that time has left so little a mark on her while her husband, Curse appears well past his age. To counteract this, Arianna refuses to magically color her hair. The copper red is her natural color, if a bit lighter than it had been in the past. As she grows older her hair has dimmed as silver strands replace red. Still, her shiny waves are one of her best assets. After two children her curves have become softer and more pronounced. She is not unhealthy but it is far easier to gain weight than it is to take it off. She is not fat but neither is she thin, but on the ledge. A few scars adorn the upper back of her right shoulder. She doesn't mention them much and has evasively answered her daughters' questions. She acquired them in a dark moment of her and Curse's life.
Most days Arianna can be found in comfy sweaters that hide as much as they broadcast what assets she has. Being a mother has only reinforced her comfort tendencies. Unlike most women she owns only two pairs of heels and wears them rarely. Truly there is no need for her to do so, unless she is trying to impress her husband...Bright cheerful colors and flowered prints are the staples in her closet. The worse her mood the brighter the clothes she wears.
Possessions- A beautiful ring of white gold etched with runes. A locket with her daughters' photos inside. Several bookcases of ancient texts. A paper-mache world made by Evie in kindergarten, with all the countries made to scale and labeled.
Personality:
Temperment/Mental Attributes- It has often been said of Arianna, that she is aloof and a bit standoffish in a crowd. Truly, it is not so, she is a kind and gentle soul, but Arianna is a watcher. It is far more interesting for her to stand on the edge of a room and gaze in at all of the different interactions. Her mind whirls as she tries to understand everything around her. People and their motives fascinate her. It is hard to notice the subtle alliances when she is engaged in conversation. That is not to say that she doesn't speak. Arianna can be quite talkative in small groups. Probing questions often fly out of her mouth but her gentle smile and sweetness of smooth the sting. She has learned that an air of innocence often gets more questions answered. History has always held sway over Arianna and she often tries to illicit past experiences out of people. She is more comfortable with older people than her peers and has trouble relating to those who are her own age.
Arianna has a tendency to become so engrossed in something that she forgets the world around her. This habit of hers was trouble when her eldest was born. Gone are the days where she spent hours working without stopping for nourishment or company. Ari has learned to adapt, to accomplish research without having to lose sight of her surroundings. She is a very methodical person who enjoys routines even if they are a bit impractical. An ability to organize is not one of her talents and it shows in her ramshackle house.
Arianna can be an idealist, which could be either a good or bad thing. Recently this has led her down the path of an ostrich with their head in the sand. For years, Arianna has ignored the signs that her husband is dying. His time is up and yet she is trying harder to make everything be like it was. Normal. She refuses to come to terms that Curse has months left.

History-
It was a bitterly cold day but a happy one for Aimee Blackthorn, for her dream had come true. The young woman had given birth to a healthy baby girl. Oh, it was a terribly uncertain time to have a baby, with the dark lord having returned and a war brew. Yet, none of it mattered for she had love.
Arianna Dream Blackthorn was a happy baby, who grew into a shy toddler. While her parents were not rich they loved her and provided her with a warm if not small roof. Trouble though brewed outside and her auror father tried to keep it at bay. Aimee's family had not been happy that their daughter decided to marry a mudblood. The couple ignored the threats to their detriment. And when Aimee refused to renounce her new family and return to her parents, revenge was enacted. Arianna had been nearly four when she witnessed her mother's brutal kidnapping. Luckily her mother's family did not know of Ari's existence, nor that she was hidden behind the heavy drapes. Eyes closed, ears plugged, sounds of her mother's torture still reached her ears.
It was an event that would destroy her family. Her mother never fully recovered and her father, scarred from his own wounds didn't either.
At first, everything was fine. The war ended, her family seemed to move on. Her father was home now that he could no longer work. It was hard to preform magic with no wand arm. Her father began to drink away his guilt and her mother turned to fantasies. More and more, Arianna began to spend time with her Aunt and her family. As Ari grew she often wished that her aunt was her mother. She was always in a good mood. She did not think Ari was a baby, or try to put her in diapers. She also did not think Ari was a demon with evil eyes. She loved ari and made her feel safe. Like her mummy use to.
When Ari was seven her father left for good, tired of his wife nagging him. The love they once shared withered. He was not a good father. Could not care for his daughter and did not want to be a further appointment.
Ari grew up in both the muggle and wizarding world. The one thing her father fought her mother on was her spending time in the muggle world, his world. He had returned their after the divorce. He understood the muggle world, it was less hurtful. Ari attended a muggle school...sometimes. Often she would skip classes to take care of her mother on her bad spells.
When Ari was eleven she left her cousin Peter (and best friend) behind to attend Hogwarts. It was a haven and a guilt for Arianna. Here, she cultivated her love for artifacts and quickly developed a talent for runes. School went by quickly for Ari and she kept manly to herself.
After hogwarts she spent several years in the muggle world earning her college degrees in anthropology and history. She spent her summers traveling the world, studying wizarding and muggle artifacts. Ari accepted a position in the department of mysteries as an assistant researcher. Often times she would take her work home with her. It was on one of these occasions that Ari happened to meet the man that would eventually be the love of her life.
The leaky cauldron was dingy and overcrowded but Ari was loath to leave. Her apartment was not much better and she was engrossed in a particularly good narrative. Focused on the parchment in front of her, she did not hear the overtly sexual pickup lines from a group of men. She had no idea they were talking to her until one touched her. Annoyed at the break in her concentration she shrugged off the hand, and continued reading. When the man covered her parchment she glared at him, telling him to find another person to attempt to mate with. She was not interested in such an obtuse person. His mates snickered and he flushed, angry that his advances had been spurned.
With a roll of her eyes, Arianna returned to her reading only to be interrupted by the quiet snarl of another man. Merlin, did they really have to drool over her? Eyes flashing, Ari slammed her papers down and spun around on the stool. A tall man with brilliant green eyes was telling the men to leave her alone. Oh, her charming knight in shining armor. Ari was not amused. If that man thought that by playing the gallant knight she would fawn over him, he had another thing coming. The man was arrogant. Fed up with her peace being destroyed, Ari quickly gathered her belongings and left. The tall giant with the interesting scar followed her out...to make sure she made it home safely. As if she couldn't protect herself.
Annoyed, Ari told him off. The man was not put off. Intrigued they shared a quick conversation...still she was annoyed and nearly loathed him. Several weeks later she ran into the man with the savior complex again. He was interesting, a brilliant mind and Ari found that she actually enjoyed talking to him. A friendship sparked between them and then it blazed into something more. It had been very quick and before she knew it, Arianna was in love. Thrilled, she accepted his proposal, her dreams were finally coming true. She would have the family she had longed for. They both would.
It was not to be. Ari moved into Curse's flat and for a while everything was fine. She ignored his strange quirks...and for a while could shrug off his paranoia. He had his reasons...but then it became something more and she urged him to get help. Curse stated that he was fine. He wasn't but Ari did not press harder. If a person did not want to change that is on them. She could not do it for him. Merlin knew she had tried so with her mother.
Arianna could no longer take it. Curse was uncontrollable and after he held her to the wall, thinking she was a spy, she left. Shoulder bleeding, Ari slipped off her ring and did not look back. In Italy, Ari tried to forget Curse. Immersed in her work, she ignored the pain and sadness of her shattered dreams. Like a madwoman, she barely slept, rarely ate, all she did was work. Several months later a strange sharp pain erupted in her stomach. She could barely breath, a sticky substance clung to her legs. Unbeknownst to her, Arianna had been pregnant. The baby, a girl, had been lost at five months. Ari fell into a dark hole, but refused to give into the darkness. She mourned for her lost hopes and her child but she did not give up.
Several years had passed since she had left England. Arianna was tired of Italy, she wanted to be home, around what little family she had. Peter had gotten married. Ari had attended and had been charmed by his knew stepson.
Scared to run into Curse, Ari returned to England. She took over a higher research position in the department of mysteries and was determined to avoid a kameren. It was not to be. From nearly the beginning she found herself among their company. After a disastrous blind date with Curse's little brother Alex, Ari happened to run into Curse. He was not what she had expected. She still feared him but it was not overwhelming. He had healed since she had last seen him. A friendship of sorts bloomed between them, especially when they learned that they were related in a sense. Apparently, he had a son in college with the woman who had married her cousin. Thrown together by fate, they eventually overcame their differences. The attraction between them was too strong. Arianna let go of her anger and began to love him again. Really, she had never stopped.
On December 20th 2021 Arianna's dreams came true. She married the love of her life, Curse Kameren. It had been all that she hoped for and more. Finally they had managed to do what Ari had once deemed impossible. It had been a long road filled with trolls, holes and boils but they made it. Together. Finally, Arianna had her family. It had been one of the happiest moments of her life (second to the birth of her daughters) but also one of the saddest. It was also the start of a count down. A clock that always ticked in the background disrupting her happiness. Ari knew that she and Curse would not grow old together. Their time was limited and at first she did not mind. What as important was the present not the future. A part of her hoped that it would be decades before her husband would pass from the world. At twenty five, a decade was a long time. It truly wasn't. In half of a blink Arianna was pregnant with their first child. It was a miracle. Truly, for she had miscarried in the past. This time, Ari was determined to take care of herself and she did. Despite feeling nausea overwhelm her nearly every morning she ate as much as possible.
On September first, Ari was loath to see Curse go off to Hogwarts. She was heavily pregnant, her swollen belly making it difficult to hug let alone move. With a falsely bright smile she sent Curse on his way, the students of Hogwarts needed him more. She would be fine, the baby wasn't due for several more weeks. Nestled in her favorite chair, her lap filled with scrolls, Ari tried to emerse herself in immerse herself in work. Every once in a while the baby would make her presence known by kicking Ari. Stubborn, Ari chastised the baby before rereading the sentence on the history of the color changing charm. She was focusing so intently her mind did not register the dull ache that radiated from her back. It wasn't until the third contraction that she paused frowning. A feeling of unease overcame her, pulling her out of the place she went when she worked. Stiff, Ari carefully folded herself out of the chair and nearly fell back down when a gush of liquid tickled her legs, and puddled on the floor. Fear rippled through Ari but she fought down the urge to panic. It would do nothing. She could do this. Elle had told her what to expect, there was a plan in place. All would be fine.
As calmly as she could, Ari reached her wand and began to send out patrons messages. She winced as another contraction hit her. Curse would never live it down if he missed this birth...
Violet Sophia Kameren was born rather quickly. Arianna had only been in labor for four hours, just enough time for everyone to arrive. The baby was tiny and her heart weak. It was the most terrifying moment of Arianna's life. Worse than losing Ashlynn, for the baby had been barely more than a fetus when Ari's body had rejected her. She had met Violet and to lose her would be far more terrible. That week, Ari rarely left the baby's side and if it hadn't been for Curse she probably would not have eaten. Vi pulled through, proving herself to be a fighter.
Life fell into a routine. Ari refrained from working at the Ministry during Vi's and later on, Evie's baby years. When ever she could, Ari would bring the babies to Hogwarts, or Curse would visit them on the weekends. Ari began to dread the school year when Curse would be gone but she told herself it was practice for the future. He would not be around for ever....
As a decade past, Arianna began to delude herself that Curse was not dying. If fate had wanted him to die young, he would have done so already. The mind is a powerful tool and without noticing, Ari used it to ignore the warning signs. She shrugged off Curse's use of the cane as a precaution. The fact that they did not share intimacies was also brushed under the rug. They were both tired, too busy, and well they had children...
Arianna went back to work part time at the ministry, researching her beloved artifacts when Evie started first grade. She is happy but there is a bitter edge to it. Arianna loves her family and is thankful to have a little piece of Curse but she also resents him. They've grown apart in the last year or so. It seems that to Arianna, Curse is spending more time at Hogwarts than at home. She is jealous of his students and at the same time is glad that they occupy his time. She is torn and afraid of the future. Fate has been cruel and yet kind to her. All that she has ever wanted is hers, and she is loath to lose it. Curse Kameren is her best friend and yet he is a stranger to her. Their time together has run out, and yet she pretends it is just a new chapter in their lives.
