"What happened?"
Nuri frowned as she checked over her friend. "You fell, it happens."
Elle rolled her eyes at Nuri as she pointed out the obvious. Elle wanted to snap that she had noticed that she had fell when she body slammed into the ground but she kept the unhelpful comment to herself. It wasn't Nuri's fault that Elle had scared the horse. It was a freak accident. Elle really needed to turn her luck around. She was beginning to believe all of those tales of superstition and bad luck. Maybe carrying around a four leaf clover wouldn't be such a bad idea. It wouldn't hurt and maybe some good luck charm would stop all those little accidents.
Its not supposed to..." she reached down and helped Elle to her feet, backing up the horses to give her room.
Elle reached for the offered hand, wincing when her scrapped palm touched Nuri's hand. She wobbled for a bit as the world spun but she managed to stay up right. She needed a bath. She was covered in mud and her bones ached. She would gladly give her first born for a bath and a shot of whiskey.
"Glad we didn't fly now?" She flashed a cheeky grin before going back to check Cirrus' saddle. The threads sewing the straps to the saddle seemed to have parted. "I can fix it, if you wanna get back up?"
Elle eyed the saddle and then glanced at the strips of leather that hung around her waist. A part of her had enjoyed the rush of riding, even the part where the horse had bucked but she was also scared. That had been a close call.
"Why did the horse throw me off?" Elle said, unsure about why she had been tilted backwards in the first place. She hadn't really noticed anything that could frighten a horse. It was so big. Elle approached Curris her hand out stretched in a peace offering. The horse snorted and nudge Elle's hand and she petted the horse.
"Maybe we should head back? I dunno if I want to test my luck too much today."
